One of the original Tel Aviv boutique hotels, the Cinema Hotel has been featured widely in the international press. Housed in a converted movie theater in one of Tel Aviv’s most iconic settings, Dizengoff Square, it fuses the character of the 1930’s with modern day technologies to create a unique and memorable property.
The Theme
The Esther Cinema was one of the first movie theaters in Tel Aviv set within one of the most beautiful Bauhaus buildings in the city, on Dizengoff Square, famed for its iconic fountain. The Cinema Hotel maintains the allure of a 30’s cinema, with artifacts reflecting this on display around the hotel, classic movies on screen in the lobby, and pop-corn pretty well on tap. It fuses this theme with modern-day hospitality effortlessly, hence its major success.
The Rooms
The Cinema Hotel features 82 guest rooms, each of which includes cable TV, tea and coffee facilities, refrigerator, and free wifi internet.
Facilities
The Cinema Hotel features a beautiful rooftop terrace with views across Dizengoff Square and the surrounding tree lined streets. The hotel has a business lounge which provides complementary drinks and refreshments in the afternoon and evening, as well as an in-house Jacuzzi and sauna, and of course, the movie cinema in the lobby! All guests can take advantage of table tennis, and free bike rental.
Location
Dizengoff Square is one of Tel Aviv’s icons with its colorful water-fountain and the beautifully curved Bauhaus buildings which surround it. The Cinema Hotel is just a couple of minutes walk from the Dizengoff Center Mall, about ten minutes from the beach, and the same distance from the tree lined Rothschild Boulevard.
